Bacon Brothers - Jersey Girl

You no doubt remember Kevin Bacon from such movies as Footloose, Tremors, Flatliners, Hollow Man, etc. But you may not be aware that Kevin and his brother, Michael have a musical career as well. And you may be surprised to find that they are really good musicians. No, Kyra Sedgwick is not really a Jersey Girl but Kevin and his brother grew up in Philadelphia and so they know what it is to "take a ride across the river to the Jersey side." When he sang, "across the river to the Jersey side", Tom Waits was referring to New York where he was from, but since Kevin Bacon grew up in Philadelphia, my video shows a photo of the Delaware river and bridge from Philly to NJ. Tom Waits fan? Okay...but I still like their version better. So sorry I missed their show last month when they played here in PA. Thanks for your comment.

I enjoy this band so much. There songs are moving and fun to dance to. It would be great to see them in concert. Too bad I live in a dumpie little town in New Mexico.

Kevin Bacon has always been my favorite actor... Then I found out that he sings, plays instruments, and writes songs, he became one of my hero's and makes me too keep working for my goals
