I don't know why is everybody complaining. First its a MOBILE procesor that's why its called FUTURE of gaming because there are more and more games on mobile. Second OUYA is almost free. Cmon 99$ Its almost free. Third OUYA is OPEN so you can go unscrew it and put new procesor inside.

Ouya and shield can have console quality games, if devs put he time into it. Android is only the Operating system - android isn't a market or shop.

What GTX cards can you compare Tegra 3 & 4 to? In a manner of speaking, if I could hook up a GTX 450 to a smaller device, would it run the games better?
I'm pissed that I can't find a thread on this topic.

Well if you actually look at the gaming community, you'll see that a huge chunk of the population are DIY box builders, and they know what they're looking for. If anyone is genuinely looking to improve their visual experience and do the research, they'll see the power PC has to offer. Ten years ago it wasn't as common to see people building their own boxes, but now that information is more freely available, it's definitely common practice. Majority will be convenience shoppers, like you said

you have too much faith in the consumer... Most people who 'want better graphics', don't even know what a tegra is, let alone nvidia or amd {or intel... if you count their integrated ones} It's a lot easier to buy a phone or a console, and never have to worry about having enough power, or a big enough case, or the right socket/slot... people will always take convenience over complexity. Why do you think consoles are so popular? 300$ once vs a lot of work and 1000+$

They can make more cash, but I can guarantee that won't stop people like Nvidia from making better cards, lol. When it boils down to it, people who want better performance and visuals will go with the PC, and soon we'll have the angel of death to consoles with the Steambox and other platforms like the Ouya that bring the community together. Sure most people go mobile because it's "in", but smart buyers who want the most bang for their buck go PC. Hopefully the trend sticks

Ok then, I'am sorry for insulting you, and I sort of do agree with you, Tegra is powerful but it only has half-assed games.

I never said the PSP is more powerful then the Shield, infact I know that the Tegra 4 is way more powerful then the PowerVR 544mp used in the PSP, what I am saying is that the PSP has AAA companies developing games for the PSP while the Shield will still have sub console knock offs of real games like what gameloft does

You ignorant fool, the PowerVR GPU in the Vita is identical to that in the 4th gen iPad, which Tegra 4 easily beats.
