I don't know why is everybody complaining. First its a MOBILE procesor that's why its called FUTURE of gaming because there are more and more games on mobile. Second OUYA is almost free. Cmon 99$ Its almost free. Third OUYA is OPEN so you can go unscrew it and put new procesor inside.

Ouya and shield can have console quality games, if devs put he time into it. Android is only the Operating system - android isn't a market or shop.

its a disgusting industry now. IOS and android has boomed through an industry disease of cheap investment and greed. Its google though, what do expect.

and magic, I have "open source gaming console". and its more

"open" both in hardware and software.

as for gaming on android - while "it's just OS - it's up to devs" at the end of the day it will cost you more to game on mobile CPU, because you pay for mobility, for mobility that you don't really need in front of your tv - in case of OUYA.

I would rather see more games released/ported on linux, that would be better.

    future my ass.

yes android is just OS. but the entire implementation is pointless. a lot of smartphones can already output full HD to HDMI, and they already have terga CPU's. as android gamebox (if you don't own a smartphone) maybe OUYA is an option, but "open source gaming console" is too much of a stretch.

I would rather see those 8$mill go to devs to write cross platform (for linux too) open source games then I would just build custom desktop PC, install ubuntu/mint in it, plug it to HD tv -

you can unscrew it, take a dump there, and put screws back.

thats exactly the reason why everybody is complaining - its a ARM CPU. as nukeclears already told you its not something that you can buy in a computer store. and even if you will find a replacement you will end up with a higher price and less power than desktop CPU's x86-64.

the OUYA idea was good: open source gaming console-but when I saw "Tegra"and "Android" my spidey senses went off.

Featurepoints is the best app! You can actually earn money from it lol

How to get free iTunes cards and gift cards:

    1. Go to your android or ios web browser and search featurepoints . com

    2. Sign up, it's free!

    3. Use this code OS9ECL when you sign up for a 50 point bonus, and earn even more by downloading apps and watching videos.

    4. After just a few installs you’ll be able to get a free iTunes/amazon/paypal money/paid app

    5. Check out my video for a walkthrough of the app.

What GTX cards can you compare Tegra 3 & 4 to? In a manner of speaking, if I could hook up a GTX 450 to a smaller device, would it run the games better?

I'm pissed that I can't find a thread on this topic.
