  • I've always thought that. I've never cared much for his studio work, it always seems so subdued.

Cale is one of those you can tell really feeds of playing his songs live for an audience. it makes all the difference.

  • Keep watching out for him. Took me years to see him live but it was absolutely worth it

  • Loads of bands and musicians I love are coming my way this year. But I always check listings with a hope that John Cale will be there. He's one of the musicians I NEED to see.

  • Wonderful version of a brilliant song.

I have seen Cale a few times and you never quite know what you are going to get - but it is always awesome !

  • Love John Cale!

  • I'd give what's left of my left brain to be in that audience. "The best of times were the Velvet kind".....he spits and loves gloriously. Cave musta been so influenced by people like Mr. Cale and Leonard Cohen....chick chick boom. Bye.

  • hehe, I know what you mean, best enjoyed live actually, I saw him at the Enmore theatre in Sydney about 10 or 12 years ago, and when he did 'Fear' it was positively scary... I didn't think the piano would survive the ordeal :)~~ he was brilliant... as he is here

  • a wonderful performance of an excellent cale song

  • Good song, nice acoustic rendition as opposed to the Music For A New Society dissonance.
