  • Great video. I am about to change the brake fluid on my Ducati for the first time and found this video very helpful.

    Thanks Junkman

  • @salvatard Glad it helped! Be sure to check out my website for other content and how to videos. Subscribe to my Blip.tv show for all the updates.

  • Great video, thanks for posting. On a bike with twin front discs like your BMW (or my Sportster) which disc should be bled first when using the syringe method and what happens after flushing one side and then pumping in old fluid from the other? Thanks again.

  • @jemglen Just alternate left and right. Since fluid cannot be compressed it all will collect at the top through the distribution block. If your system is empty however (replaceing a line ect) open the oposite bleeder and push fluid through until it comes out then close it and repeat the procedure in the video several times on each side unitl no bubbles or dirt fluid comes out.

  • @thejunkman If there is dirty brake fluid already present in the caliper lines, wouldn't reverse bleeding push that fluid back up into the master cylinder resevoir?

  • @saveus444 Yes, but depending on how old/dirty the brake fluid is you may want to drain the system clean all parts then reverse bleed the system. However like this demonstration the fluid was not gummy from 20 years of age so flushing until clean fluid comes up through the reservoir will work in most situations. The key is keep doing it until the fluid is clean.

  • Thanks for posting this I was struggling to bleed the brakes on my zx12r,tried this method today and got it done, many thanks for the help

  • @2LateIWon Thanks, this is the prefered methoud I like to use.

  • great job. Reverse bleeding on the c3 corvette is the best way too as they are prone to getting air in the system. Even with 2 bleeder valves on the caliper.
