Project KidsOfTheFuture09

With the conclusion of 2008 and the beginning of a full new year just around the corner, my best friend Shaugnessy and I couldn't help but look back on the past year and discuss what we hope to achieve in 2009. We both agreed that we wanted to make a difference from now on and impact teenagers like ourselves to be empowered and get out and make a difference in the world. So we began to plan out our mission, only to discover that though we had high hopes, this project could not be done by just 2 girls. That's how we came up with the idea of interviewing the role models of today's teens with the hopes of them inspiring their fans to want to make a difference based on what they do. They could teach their fans about the importance of recycling and keeping the Earth clean, as well as talk to them about more personal matters such as peer pressure and fitting in, eating disorders, teenage violence, smoking and drinking, suicide, and many more issues teens face everyday. Recently however, we've decided that we want to do more to inspire kids. There's little things that we can do each and every day that could make a big difference. So we'll be making videos each month in which we will dedicate it to a particuliar charity, organization, or general issue in order to educate kids on why it's a problem and how we can all help to make it better. After all, 10% of something is a whole lot better than 100% of nothing.

Aw, thank you soo much! There isnt much you can do since we are still trying to get in touch with all the celebs because it takes a lot of patience, time and work (lol) but you can help us with letting everyone you know be aware of the project and to comment on what they think!!! :)

ooo yeahh. we get the last week off in january n only have to come in for our midterms =]

we have tomorrow and thurs off then we've got one test on friday at 8-10 n then we're done!!!! =]

hahah yeah! we are really happy with all the great feedback we are getting from people!! This week we have midterms so january has been a bit lacking on the project but febuary we will be back in full force!!!! lol
