Demonstrate the use of Mac Mini in my car by using the Carnetix 2140 to power my Mac and my monitor. By using my Iphone, i can control the front row application without using my Apple remote thus i can safely store my Mac Mini in a safe location inside my car.

  • 3g wireless router ? confused...why dont you use the iphone 3g connection on your carputer, easy to do you know

  • There are more disadvantages than advantages to use the iphone 3g as a router.

1)Have to jailbreak the iphone in order to use the pdanet application

2)Battery life of iphone will reduce in time because it drains alot of juice from the iphone

It all depends on the user actually. Thanks for the comments :)

    Cheers

  • this defeat the purpose of a carputer, touch control from the liliput screen lol.

What you did is pointless to me, it makes control even harder because the screen is smaller than the 7" LCD screen

  • My lcd screen is 8.4" in size, the reason to use the touch control is to eliminate the use of mouse, as there is limited space around my car to use it. Cheers

  • LOL front row

  • were did u get it ???

  • ^^ its pointless but if he is rich like me he dont care waste alittle money

  • lol.... in singapore... we get offers of free 3g routers when we sign up with a fixed broadband... haha

  • no offense but this seems pointless, you could have just installed an indash navigation which would have done all or most of the things you could ask, but its still cool.

  • how did you get the monitor power button to also press the mac power button?

  • In my part of town, you'll get robbed in a second.

  • @GDUBBlazer01 cuz he can do that

  • You should have put linux it or some other OS where the system sleeps and doesn't need a restart when you turn the ignition key. Also using an IR repeater or conduit material would retain the built in IR functionality. Isn't it also dangerous to have such a large screen with moving content also on while driving?

  • Why do you need a Mac in your car?
