This version is a classic case of style over substance. The original Alan Clarke version is much better. Also, one thing that really bugged me about this version was how they really over-did it with the tracksuits. I was a teen in the early 80s in South London (Walworth Rd) and I don't remember so many blokes wearing full tracksuits like that. You'd see blokes with a Fila or Ellesse top but almost always with jeans (Lois, Wrangler, Lee). My bird who used to hang around Roundshaw says the same.
