This version is a classic case of style over substance. The original Alan Clarke version is much better. Also, one thing that really bugged me about this version was how they really over-did it with the tracksuits. I was a teen in the early 80s in South London (Walworth Rd) and I don't remember so many blokes wearing full tracksuits like that. You'd see blokes with a Fila or Ellesse top but almost always with jeans (Lois, Wrangler, Lee). My bird who used to hang around Roundshaw says the same.

no sports shops like that jd sports wasnt even around then if you wanted casual stuff you had too places like stuarts in sheperds bush, the door was always locked and they only lets a few in at a time, same with nic nacs in soho, nic love dont kno shit!!!!
