This is merely a fan movie that we made of the "Transmetropolitan" series-- we own nothing of theirs. We just wanted to show our love for them.

This is the scene where Spider Jerusalem, a journalist, confronts the "Beast," a.k.a the President of the United States in post-modern America about the truth.

Starring Joe Peracchio as Spider Jerusalem and the "Beast" as Richard Meyer.

Directed and Produced by Jules Dameron

Shot & Edited by Wayne Betts, Jr.

Production Designer
Logan Wince

Sound by Amie Farquhar

Music by Michael John Mollo

1st Assistant Director Lainey Escovedo

Wardrobe by Mojdeh Daftary

  • You couldn't have shaved your head?

  • You play Jerusalem well. Cut that hair and you even have the look. Great vid.

  • My god, the president's shat himself!

  • They've been trying to make it a film, they just don't have the cash or wanted actors yet. They want Tim Roth to be Spider, but no choices for the Smiler, filthy assistants or most other characters. This, however, is pretty much how I imagined my hero Spider sounding.

  • That was reem, I wish that someone would turn the graphic novel into a film!

  • tks for that

  • Not bad,but not excellent either...unfortunately,the choice of spider is not convincing at all....all the rest is brilliant, shots properly....beast is magnificent .....but not enough tension....i will keep on eye on that work tho....keeps me interested..............

  • Not bad overall. Good camera work, nice shots. The Beast was excellent, though Spider needs a little voice work (try mimicing Hunter S. Thompson, the inspiration for Spider). And shave that fucking head, for fucks sake!

  • Good acting. Spider scare me.

  • I was overjoyed to see this. my only critique is - in reference to Spider; less Bill Compton, more Hunter S. Thompson.

  • "HEEELP! THE PRESIDENT'S SHAT HIMSELF!"

  • No, Why is everyone saying this is great........it kinda sucks, it doesn't have the feel of the comics at all. This has the feel of some shitty 'roid fueled pysdo masculine 80s prime time cop drama! Where is the insanity, the drugs, the mechanical acid infused ecstasy like glee of the comics, the goddamn humor that made them great? Is everyone here so covered in their own sticky ooze over this comic that they cannot see that all things related to it are not awesome?
