People of African Descent

Afrodescendant Fellows at the UN Human Rights office raise issues faced by People of African Descent. The Fellows were part of a group that attended an OHCHR Fellowship Programme for People of African Descent. It was held from 17 October and 4 November.

The programme was launched by the Anti Discimination Section to mark the International Year of People of African Descent.

The United Nations dedicated 2011 to the People of African Descent.

Very well! It's a great joy to find Juan Carabalí, one of us, between this selected group. He's one of the few those spoke in a language different to English. We also claim for a language opening in the UNOHCHR. United Nations has the infraestructure for speaking (or at least subtitling) in many languages. For example: why this video didn't appear in ONUderechos user? Thanks anyway. May the Lord concede you many achievements!
