Gear: DIY "Poor Person's" Kubotan (see description)

This is a very fun and easy project for the DIY hobbyist. This self defense tool is functional for stabbing and flicking but not really for certain finger/hand holds. But in a pinch it will work. This is a great way to recycle and reuse a dry Sharpie (or something similar) and doesn't use expensive materials.

I know you can use a Sharpie as is but why not take it to the next level by strengthening, improving grip and adding a key ring? :)

What you need:

Sharpie (or something similar in shape)
Electrical tape
Gorilla Tape
Large Key ring
Awl
Scissors
File
A bit of imagination

I'm pretty sure the cost of tape+the sharpie is a little bit more than a cheap kubaton....

@Fragite That maybe true. But that's why I mentioned a used sharpie or any other type of pen. I rarely buy anything for my DIY projects I just use what I have lying around. It you don't have a sharpie then a small tightly rolled up piece of cardboard can do the trick also.
