More info here-read me!
I got this around the beginning of April. I've been planning a review, it would come out over 20 minutes to get all of the features of this projector in. It's easier to put this video up essentially announcing "I own one of these" and if people have performance questions, I can try to answer them.

I've been after one of these projectors for a long time. I was weary on investing in an LED one, as I have only seen incandescent projectors in action. Those bulbs are generally brighter, but have a much shorter life. This is not standard of all bulbs, but I have seen bulbs with as little of 100 hours of life, and others costing up to $300 to replace. This LED projector claims to have 10,000 hours of bulb life. As far as the claim of a lack of brightness, as demonstrated in the clip with the Matrix Ubuntu screensaver, in standard light the projector has a better image than my built in lap top screen.

  • Loud fan ! eh? you need to talk about the features.

  • @9tee That was something frequently brought up in comments anywhere I looked at them. I thought I would give it my two cents.

  • How bright is this projector? Would you say it's bright enough to use outdoors? We sometimes watch movies in the back yard and I have been thinking of getting one of these small projectors to do that. I have seen reviews on the optoma pk301 and it seems it would do what I want, but seeing this one rated at 200 lumens, I need to reconsider.

  • @CherubRock1979 If you do it late,it probably would be.A full moon might be a challenge for this to overcome if you have it set up as a larger screen. We were using it to play some N64 games on a bedsheets outside a motel at one point. The dimensions of the screen were 4:3 and the width of a twin mattress for the "3". It did fairly well. There's too many variables to give you a straight forward yes/no. Screen size? Time of day? What is your screen? Look around & compare. Sorry for the late reply.
