In the past, I've run into problems with my resized and trimmed rifle brass fitting too tight in the chamber. When this happens, you need to make sure that your full length sizing die is adjusted properly. My RCBS manual says; Pull your press handle all the way down, adjust your full length resizing die down until it contacts the shell holder, then srew down 1/4 turn. Sometimes that isn't enough. You may have to turn your die 1/2 turn after contact with shell holder in order to get the brass resized sufficent enough for it to chamber without any difficulty. Hope this helps guys!

I found that if you don't get oil on the the front part it will not dent, but like you said it will not effect the round.
