In 2011 A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, a black-comedy by Peter Nichols returned to the Citizens Theatre in a production directed by Phillip Breen. This production came some 44 years after the show first premiered at the Citizens.

This film shows the opening night's post show discussion which was led by the Citizens Theatre's new Artistic Director Dominic Hill.

Delving into the play's origins, controversy from 1967 and modern perceptions of the work, this informal chat, was one of the busiest post show discussion's ever held at the theatre and we're delighted to be able to to share it with you.
