"Nothing can happen without our permission."

They didn't ask our permission for the bailouts or the "stimulus".

"We're their bosses"

Really? What authorities do we have, then?

Yes, they did, they talked about it for days and we just sat their our heads up our asses. We're a bunch of greedy idiots, we deserve what we got.

moniequa, Sen. Feinstein received 91,000 phone calls about the bailout. 93% of those calls were against it, yet she voted for the bailout anyway.

91,000 and how many people are in California? This is just to show us now important this bail out was, 91,000 people called to protest. I guess the rest was too busy looking for loans for newer homes.

moniequa, Is it fair to assume, then, that you don't believe any polls, because the people who do the surveying don't ask the opinion of every single person?

No I don't believe in polling because it can be manipulated. And you can't compare polling with calling in to protest the bailouts. If over spending money were important to people, everybody would've called already. If we allow one person to do whatever she wants, then it is not her to blame but us. We allowed her.

moniequa, How many anti-bailout calls do you think were needed to change her mind?

All I know is this, the bailout went through and we're sitting here talking about it and you know what? I bet you any amount of money if they want another bailout they'll get it because we can't do shit about it. But we can complaint about it after the fact on youtube.

Unfortunatly this behaviour has been evident the whole history of democracy. UK is up the same excrement river missing a certain rowing utensil. Our politicians seem to think that because we want them to 'represent us' in parliament that they have earned certain privileges. The time is coming that democracy will crumble and unfortunately there is no other political system out there that will do to replace it.
'Aint it a bugger knowing this and not being able to do anything about it :-(
