  • Damn... I let Morel season come and go again this year without hitting the woods. Those look really really tasty.

  • @artifactman660 We can just pass the false morels on to someone else then, cause I have no need for them either. lol I picked over 50 lbs of true morels last year here in Montana, from May-August, and still have several pounds dried. Bummer to hear about your buddy who got sick off of a false though, no good.

  • @touchnova well i tell you what you eat the false i will eat the morels, you can have the half free morels also. ive ate all of them and as far as i am concerned the false morels taste like crap and the half free is too crumbly for me. i did know a guy who ate the false morels and he got a hold of one that almost killed him,put him in the hospital. he had eatin them for over 30 years needless to say he dont eatem any more.

  • @DemonCatSpaceStar Also, as far as poisoning from false morels, you'd have to make a serious dinner out of them before it does much to you, and probably then you'd just throw up. Some people react differently based on body chemistry, but eating one or two false morels isn't enough to hurt most people.

  • @waylan3 Morels are hollow & False Morels have "meat" in them & they aren't hollow. Go to this web site that explains more about it.

    thegreatmorel . com then falsemorel

Wish I could find more they're GOOOOODDD!! :-)

  • yum yum but i was told there was whats called a false morel that has arsnic in it how do you tell the difference
