I like this layout ... I wonder if there is a version which include quarter tones ?

Pretty cool. I guess next time you can show some chord in your video because using this layout chord is very easy to produce. Try press two adjacent key a one time.

I dig the jammin, nice to see it being done on an isomorphic instrument. I DARE you to play it in another key :-P
RIP Thummer ='(
I really think the thummer (wicki/hayden) layout is the best compromise between melody *and* harmony, because there are definitely more melodically oriented layouts, aka janko.
That and it was specifically built around tuning theory so that it could play in different tunings with the same fingerings.

I got my '49 the other day and I an see why it's called a "harmonic" rather than "melodic" table -= it's optimized for chording and harmonizing, whereas the Thummer (RIP) was more designed around melodic playing.

hmmm looks like harmonic table is better for playing chords instead of scales.
Now seems that Axis a bit more affordable, nice device, nut looks like keys are very noisy, that's could be quite annoying... it's like it seems?
Though, this bluessy jam sounds way too cool man, congrats!
I would not completely agree that the Axis is better for chords than scales. There are really only two patterns to learn and then you can play the learned scales in any key.
The key noise is not an issue in a performance environment. I used the built in mic on my Macbook and it was just a few inches from the Axis. When played through a sound system, it can't be heard.
I recently bought the Axis 64. It has a lot more professional feel. Both have their place.
