how often do you perm your hair? I have not permed my hair in 5 months and i tempted to perm it cause its getting kinda difficult to comb=-) I was thinking of perming it every 6 months.

I have not stretched my relaxers past 4 months. With stretching, you really need to listen to your hair. Stretching is great, but too long can cause breakage. So, go ahead and stretch to 6 months if you like, as long as you are not seeing a lot of breakage. Just make sure you are really keeping your new growth moisturized, you should be fine. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions.

@MissJassy28 Thank you girlie=-) I have been seeing a lot of breakage even though I keep my new growth moisturized=-(. So I really do feel I should get a perm next week. I normally do them myself but I heard that's not good. What do you suggest I do?

@QueenPaul09
Since I started my hair journey I stopped relaxing my own hair. I just did not trust myself to do it anymore. Mainly because of overlapping. Now with that said there are "pros"out there that are no better. You really have to find someone who knows what they are doing. Whether you do it your self or have someone do it make sure that you protect your hair with an oil.
