Amazing that "2 John Williams" came together in "Concerto in D major" for the Soundtrack Score/Film "The Cowboys" with John Wayne :'). My 1st experience with BOTH John Williams as a Kid, how ironic and blessed :).

I used the largo at 3:44 as my audition to get into get into music school. It's still my favorite guitar piece of all time.

@kmsmith49 I saw that vid as a kid too, and it haunted me for years. I had no idea who it was by but learned to play some of the melody from what bits I could remember. It was a wonderful surprise to find it on a Vivaldi tape my dad got me for Christmas a few years later, and the performance, by John Williams and the English Chamber Orchestra, was perfect. It still brings tears to my eyes.

@kmsmith49 Oh my gosh! I listened to the same thing when I was probably 4 years old and was transfixed. Sesame Street showed water drops on a green leaf (among other things) as the second movement played. So sorry about your mom but what a lovely thing to share. And what a beautiful piece to remember her by.
