Arranged and performed by Larry B. in memory of my Bride, Cynthia Ann.

The tune for this song comes from Beethoven's Piano Sonata #8 in C Minor ( Pathetique ). It was made into a popular song in the late 70s or early 80s by The Louise Tucker Project.

Cindi loved this tune, and I can not play it, or hear it, without thinking of her.

I took the liberty of rewriting some of the words to this song, so that it more reflects what I feel when playing it. I hope Louise would approve of this version. I wish I could hear Louise singing these words to it, because she has a voice from Heaven .

Midnight Blue: ( Beethoven/Smitt/Skarbeck/LarryB)
In Memory of Cynthia Ann B.
4-22-1957 --- 10-18-2002

1, Midnight blue, so lonely without you,
Dreams fed by the memories,
Oh, let the music play.

2, Midnight blue, those treasured thoughts of you,
Gone now and forever,
Oh, let the music play

Chorus : Midnight, midnight.....I adored you,
Couldn't save you,
Your still in my heart.

3, Midnight blue, so lonely with out you,
Warm words from a fantasy,
Oh, let the music play

4, Midnight blue, the tears come flowing through,
I'll never forget you,
Please, let the music play

Chorus : Midnight, midnight....I adored you,
Couldn't save you,
Your still in my heart

5, Midnight blue, so lonely without you,
Warm words from a fantasy,
Oh, let the music play

Chorus : Midnight, midnight....I adored you
Couldn't save you,
Your still in my heart

6, Midnight blue, the tears come flowing through,
I'll never forget you,
Please, let the music play....

  • You moved me to tears Larry, both with your music and your sentiment. Beethoven is a particular favourite of mine also. Have you had a go at doing somthing with Sontata no. 14 op 27 (Moonlight Sonata)? If so, I would love to hear it.

  • Thank you. I'm pleased that you enjoyed this one. No, I have not really tried to make an arrangement of the Moonlight. That does sound like a good idea though, so I may well try that.

  • Thanks for the nice words. This is truly a song / piece that I feel a lot when playing it. No , My FX has no MIDI functions. The extra keyboards are for variety of sounds. Some get used often; others no so often. Sorry the vid is so squashed, but I am still learning my new camcorder.
