  • The solo in this gem is just perfect. That's the way to play guitar.

  • Gorham at his best. I believe he's one of the most under-rated guitarists ever.

  • Great song from a great album.

  • IF - you can REALLY play lead ...you will recognise a percussive quality to gorhams solo that is just superb .Quite apart from its melodic quality ..the attack and tension is almost like he is playing congas ...very interesting solo ..most of his stuff was though hey .

  • @JustAintthatWay not correcting, just stating what i hear. If you climb a mountain, Then you will see, there is no great distance between the lord and me.

  • they were just perfect, but the world prefers lady gaga or shit like that to this true music... R.I.P. phil, you gave (and still give)great emotions to your fan.

  • @zealberg Van halens father.

  • I've liked Thin Lizzy for a long time now, but in the last year I have been slowly working my way through their other albums. And on hearing this, I am headed straight down to town to buy this piece of magic on vinyl. Thank God for Thin Lizzy.

    Yes man , you're absolutely right .

This is one of the nicest guitar solos I know .

    Scott Gorham of course .

He also has THE perfect guitar sound , especially on the

    Live and dangerous album .

  • @Apathesis0 Agreed. In fact, Opium Trial is just about my favourite guitar solo of all time. It may not be all that long, or overly complicated, but it just rips from beginning to end.

  • @HuDaFuK I'm with you. I really only liked the rockers on this record. It really wasn't a "crank it up in your car" album. Even parts of the solo were from other solos I'd heard him do.

  • @Blewline67 Every solo on this album is stellar. They just go where they should. They are perfect.
