Former Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, and his seven co-defendants resumed their trial in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Monday.

As the defense continues, new witnesses will take the stand in defense of Saddam and his seven co-defendants. The most prominent witness scheduled to take the stand in the near future is former revolutionary court judge Awad al-Bandar, who sentenced 148 Shiites villagers from Dujail to death.
