It is open season on public sector unions---specifically, the leadership. I don't think all public sector employees are lazy but I think they should start to stand up to their corrupt leadership who always want more, more, more. The states should have dealt with public sector union pay/benefits 15-20 years ago but due to the cozy relationship between them and politicians on both sides of the aisle, the financial day of reckoning has finally arrived.

@Bloodsport1 When I lived in Brooklyn, my car would be buried under the plowed snow for a week at a time. I didn't WANT the car but my second husband HAD to have it, big thing, extension of the penis, yecch. Remember the winter of '93/'94 in NYC? I was homeless for 6 weeks during that, it was hell! There is a cool zine done there called BROOKLYN! and I recommend it. The guy is a train conductor! Lives on Ocean Parkway. cutecatfaith d com is a good way to reach me directly! xo

@Regge23 I lived in Brooklyn for 15 years and the snow plows were often late and we got worse service, but my NY experience was a very mixed bag. I had to leave in 1994, could not get healthcare there anymore. I remember NY as a Wild West in the '70s, and the citizens really took the city back in the 1980s. I was just there in June for 3 days and people seemed so zonked! I got scared and ran. 1998, what an upbeat city for a visit, though! 1994 was wretched, that is when I left. xo
Yo Dem,. do you actually listen to your headphones or are they just a prop?everytime I see you in these vids they're always turned inside out.

I live in NY City and know some sanitation workers this wasn't a case of the unions trying to send a message to the mayor. We now have a mayor putting out information to cover up the city's poor planning and effort to save a few dollars. In fact the Manhattan area of NY city was plowed very well no problems at all. If the union really did this the mayor would have been the first one to publicly say so not some city councilman.

@Regge23 Well, my link is in the description box. The NY Post is reporting this and it's coming from a City Councilman.
