I remember my eighth-grade science teacher on the first day of class 20 years ago asked us to open our books and rip pages 1-6 out of the book without reading it if they were not already ripped out of the book. Being a skeptic I asked him why we should rip out the first few pages of the book. He told me that they had nothing to do with science and that he wanted to teach only science. I ripped out the pages and threw them away without reading them. I am very grateful I did. Thanks Mr. P.

Imagine if Toyota started giving away 50,000 free Nissan cars at universities. The catch was that, in the user manual, Toyota included an addendum with their take on Nissan cars. Would this cause people to stop using a perfectly good Nissan? Would it mean that Toyota had gained the upper hand? Of course not!
