  • I'm nervous but I'm glad I'm going to be a CTI by next year!

  • Im starting in USNA then after that I'm going CTI then off to the NSA.

  • @CLWMariachi

amazingly shitty, for the most part

  • @KingSaint i'll be there in november also, except with the Air Force

  • @KingSaint I'll be in for undetermined Cat. IV language next summer. Maybe I'll see you there! :P

  • Sweet scarf. I'll be at DLI by November with the Navy and I can't wait.

  • @TheYankeeSamurai you've never been to DLI id assume. Trust me when I say the quality of the linguists coming from there is amazing

  • @TheYankeeSamurai ....

They can only do so much to help train brain new soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines that just came out of the DLI. This is certainly more hands-on than the classroom and it's one step up from just sitting behind the desk. Like the reporter said, they are just trying to give the linguists a more realistic feel for what it will be like to use their hard-earned skills out in the field. Did you ever even go to the DLI and go through the course?

  • The one thing the military can control: The image that they release to the public from their own Public Relations Department! This isn't supposed to be an AD&D session or college weekend in fatigues....

  • Can we get just a little bit more realism here? I wish the Army and Air Force would make their respective training videos that they release to the public for, I'm assuming "promotional purposes," a little bit more "hard-core" and less soft. Come on, what if Israeli Intelligence, etc., are watching this? Does this look realistic or intense to you?
