To answer your question, I think its because of a lvl cap. Omega2040 explained it. I think Spike did this for character balancing. IMO I think its silly. Why can't I max out my character for the story mode? I understand balancing them for online, but not for the story.

Yeah i saw that Video, but that's just retarded, it's our own damn character. Let us do what we want. If we have a high ranked character it just means we care enough to keep on leveling him up. Don suddenly stop it just cause XD

thank god you can edit them, i was going to delete my old one once i beat his story mode so i could put the new stuff on him. I like the idea of Hero Mode with character creation and all but honestly the story mode to it is just not good at all.
