Shelbee; Okay hold on.
*Shelbee then turned the car around and head for the stables.*
Nick: remind me never to let her drive.
Joe: I agree
Shelbee; Well this very important... Juls I'm going to drop you off and then I need to take Denise home. Then you call me when your ready to come home and I'll come get you.
Julia: Thank you so much Shelbee....
*At the stable, she grabbed her phone, and, despite the fact that she
was in high heels, ran as fast as she could over to Sox and Becca. She
didn't even wave goodbye to the others, just went straight to Sox and
started petting him gently.*
Julia: Becca! What happened?!
Becca: Basically what I told you. Sox got spooked, bolted, and was
hit....I called the vet, he should be here soon.
Julia: OK...if you want to go finish up with the lesson, I'll stay here with Sox.
Becca: Thanks, I will..
*The vet soon came, and checked Sox over.*
Vet: I'm sorry....He broke his leg....
((AN: To get this, you have to realize that if a horse breaks it's
leg, it's almost impossible for it to heal, and even if it does,
it'll have to spend the rest of it's life in a stall.))
Julia: But, it can be fixed, right?
Vet: *shakes head* No...Not this time....If it DID heal, he'd have to s-
Julia: Spend his whole life in his stall....I know...
Vet: Do you want me to put him down?
Julia: *tears in her eyes.* Please....But, could I have a moment with him first?
Vet: Sure.
*She leaves Julia with Sox.*
Julia: *talking to Sox.* Sox....Oh god....I'm gonna miss you so
much....All those rides, lazy afternoons with Shelbee and Denise,
turnouts with Mimi....I'm gonna miss you so much...
*When she finished, the vet came back, and put Sox down. Julia went to
Mimi's stall, and cried with Mimi by her. She called Shelbee, and
waited for her to pick up.*
*When Shelbee came it was just her everyone else stayed home.*
Shelbee; Hey Juls.. you ready to go?
Julia: Yeah, I guess....Shelbee....I.....I...I didn't tell you this
before, but...I.....I had to put Sox down...." *She started to cry
again, and sat down, her head in her hands, just crying.*
Shelbee: Oh Juls....
Julia: What am I gonna do without him Shel's? He was the one guy I
could be around without breaking down and crying....The one I could
tell all my secrets to.....The only one who really understood me....
Shelbee; Don't worry Juls. everything will be alright.. Come on D wants to see you.. She stayed up all night and is at the house waiting on you.
Julia: Okay
*They get into the car and drive to Shel's place.*
*When they got home, the first person to greet them was D.*
Denise: Hey Julia!
Julia: Hey D.....
Denise: Are you OK Juls?
Julia: Kind of...
Denise: Is your horse OK?
Julia: He...
Nick: Hey Julia...Was Sox OK?
Julia: No....He....I had to.......put him down.
*She started to cry again. Joe walked in, and looked at everyone.*
Joe: What happened?
Shelbee: Juls had to put down Sox.
Joe: Oh, Juls, I'm so sorry.....
*Julia just nodded, and Joe swept her up into a big hug.*
Julia: I'm gonna....I'm gonna go lie down for a bit....
*She walked upstairs, and into the room that she had been using while
she stayed with Shelbee. She flopped down onto the bed, and just cried.
She fell asleep crying, and slept for a few hours.*

Will Julia Be okay? What did shel's have to tell Nick?
