In the help section of Wolfenstein 3-D v1.4 shareware version, there are a couple of quotes from the creators of the game. Adrian Carmack, who did the graphics, said: "Okay, now for the CGA version . . . NOT!"
This demo shows what a CGA version of Wolfenstein 3-D could have looked like.

  • It isn't CGA.....but it's still pretty cool :D

  • @Robloxian182 Yes it is CGA. It uses the 160×100 16 color mode (for more information about this mode read the Wikipedia article on the Color Graphics Adapter), but instead of using character 221, it uses almost every ASCII character for the title screen and the checkerboard-character for the remaining part of the demo to simulate a 80×100 136 color mode.

  • @DookNookim3 Well, cga has 3 colors for 3 palletes. onw pallete has white, blue, and black. 2 has yellow white and black. and the third one.......i don't remember >_<

  • @Robloxian182 That's the case for the 320×200 graphics mode. This program uses text mode and in text mode you have 16 colors.
