Bachmann's new, re-worked "J" loco heading up a Thanksgiving Day excursion on the MOVR, consisting of 22 Kato, Con-Cor, Bachmann, Model Power and Trix passenger cars.
But the holiday isn't stopping the big guys, as CSX hauls 57 cars and a caboose eastbound into the tunnel.
where do you even begin with sets like these?

@Spartan890 Right there, with some track, some plywood, some cardboard......and A LOT of imagination!! That was the first area I worked up. Mountains?...cardboard and computer paper.....hollow.
I substitute everyday items, recycle things, always ask "how can I use that on my layout?". The money it saves gives me funds to aquire the rolling stock and motive power I have.

Nice video. Glad to see someone else using manual switches. (Thought I was alone.)

Thanks! Manual switches keep my costs down, with less wiring and no need for controls.
Everything is also DC powered, another way to reduce the cost.

They were 2 very impressive trains! Thanks for putting this video up.

In previous years, I would rather be shot, than say something nice about Bachmann locos. However, this new J class model they have is a much more superior product over their original one. Plenty of power, smoooth running, will creep incedibly slow. Best Bachguy has put out in years!
The long freights I run are no problem, mostly due to the Kato track, IMO. Inside the tunnel are 4 staging tracks of near same length, split into 8 blocks, and each track will accomodate a 90-coal hopper train.
