The Tornado GR4 is a variable geometry wing, two-seat, day and night, all-weather strike aircraft. Capable of delivering a wide variety of hard hitting weapons., Bringing the fight to the enemy. Its two RB199-34R Mk 103 afterburning turbofans give out 17,270 lb of thrust each (thats 34,540 lb in total) pushing the Tornado to a top speed of mach 2.34 and the ability to climb 15,100 ft in a minute. The Tornado has a combat range of 1,390 km. Its swing wing capabilities give it excellent low and high speed handling, used with its terrain following radar it can fly low and fast under enemy radar to reach its target. All these factors are put together to bring the RAF a powerful and versatile aircraft making it the backbone of front line operations.

@godfatheroftheuk they may be old, but nothing yet can do it's job as good as the Tornado can. It's low level flying ability can not be matched by any other jet. Do you think if it needed an update it would have already had one. Fact is, that when it was made it was ahead of it's time and doesn't need updating. Especially when it's cheaper just to update it's weapons loads with the Storm Shadow and RAPTOR aerial reconnaissance pod.

the ultimate multi role strike fighter, has been since it first entered service and the upgrades have only made it better, the F-15 and 18 can suck it !

@Neutrinoghost try the game before you knock it. Get it from ysflight.com then head over to ysfhq.com for add-ons. With out add-ons the game is very basic. there literately thousands of add-on's, and if you had all the add-on's you wouldn't feel any reduce in frame rate. It doesn't use textures like other flight sims so means you can have greater detail with out it impacting on your system. It was designed for low end computers, but some of the add-ons have greater detail than MS Flight Sim.
