1969:

1969 saw the baby boomer generation come of age as the music and creativity of the times set a new standard that has not been equaled to this day. In an era when the popular music charts were basically un-segmented and devoid of the genres that exist today, it was not uncommon to find Jimi Hendrix, The Supremes, David Bowie, Joan Baez, The Who, Elvis Presley, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Iron Butterfly, Neil Diamond, Led Zepplin, Otis Redding, Bob Marley, Simon & Garfunkle, The Monkees and James Brown all charting in the top 40. The fact that this happened on one pop chart is nothing short of amazing. By today's standards you would be hard pressed to find more than three of these artists existing within the same genre and in some cases such as with Marley or Cash, more than just one. 1969 defined a generation that spoke with passion and voiced their emotions through the popular music of the time; it is no wonder why those voices were heard so convincingly.

1969's members are veterans of the Chicago area music scene, performing over the years with arena rockers Tantrum and Armadilla, soul divas Shawn Christopher and Jan James and bluesmen StikMen, BumbleBee Bob, Joe Kelly and Blues DeVille.

A perfect fit for festivals, corporate events and themed parties, 1969's seamless show is an entertaining affair. The music will take you back and get you up on your feet. Soon you will find yourself singing along and dancing like it's 1969 all over again!
