Ambit Enerygy is a Mulit Level Marketing company, NOT direct marketing.

Direct Marketing is sending out catalogs, sending out e-mails, TV commercials, billboards.

Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation.  aka: A Pyramid Scheme.

This company has no power plants and doesn't actually sell energy. They purchase energy from other companies, repackage it and sell it to consumers. None of the Executives of the company have any experience in the Energy sector. Look up their bios on wikipedia and the history of the companies they have run in the past. They took a company public back in the dot com era and by 2004 the company was bankrupt. 2 years later (after the litigation had finished) they opened up a new MLM scam.
