I've never flown a C42, but the CTsw is as stable as the pilot who flies it makes it be. It will do exactly what you tell it to without hesitation.
I hop between this and a 172SP, and I have a lot more fun in the CT. It's so responsive that it sometimes feels you can fly it by thought alone. It takes a little getting used to (mostly on the rudder work), but once you do, it's a real blast to fly.
