did you have to rejet the carbs? I have the same carbs on my dune buggy with a stock 1600 I got it to run smooth with decent power but I'm sure its still running rich even when I try to lean it out I still get black smoke and black spark plugs.

@calderondean i ordered these carbs from The Kaddie Shack and he jetted them for a stock 1600sp. not sure on the exact jet sizes off hand. maybe try emailing him. What distributor are you running and what's your timing set at?

@CPB0793 thanks man! I'll hopefully be making some more vids soon. Check out my other vids on my channel of the car. In the one "morning drive to work" vid, you can hear how well the kads cold start, the later on in the vid you can hear what the kads sound like from the inside of the car. the intake pulses from the kads sounds like heaven. so i really recommend that vid to watch and i really recommend getting these carbs, they rock! totally night and day in terms of drive ability!
