ADA Depot Jam - DaveM (rocks)

Dave is well known for laying down harmonic minor tunes with vivid imagination. This is my interpretation over his backing track. Thank You Dave, the drums sound INCREDIBLE as always.

Detuned 1 step from E to D. Then drop tuned 6th string to match 4th. Played scale of G Harmonic minor with D Major, G minor, and diminshed chords.

Production Path:
ADA MP-1 (settings shown in vid 160)
ART Multiverb Reverb (pedal mix control)
Eventide 7500 Delays (pedal mix control)
Pinnacle DC2000 XLR 48kHZ capture
Audacity Audio mix -eight parts
Premiere Video sync -my 7 parts

  • This is great. You seem to have a natural affinity with Eastern modes. On one of your other videos I thought you were going to break out into an Indian raga! Love it.

  • Wow, extremely appreciative of that comment.

As I set aside a few favorites these are included. The most wonderful things are done with scales and notes, change a few chords and it helps move the song into new directions.

I surprise myself, the time spent learning theory was well worth it. (I'm 36) and I can't wait to see what comes of the next 10 years.

  • Ditch the smokes! Bummer to see that in a talented person.

  • thumbs up man. i'm so human.

  • Wow, that just sounds so cool. I love it!!! Nice Kuwahara bike in the background too!! Keep the tunes coming! Awesome!!!!

  • HEY! Thanks Jamie. That bike, after many reviews, is the one people appreciated as being most nostalgic for bringing back old memories. It's the colors, it looks like 1980. So it stays. I have a black Hutch I ride these days. : )

  • God I love this one! I want more!

  • The sound you get is awesome....my wife and sat here watching it quite a few times...inspiring! What scales are you mostly using here?

  • Incredibly delightful

  • cool! Will you post my video? Check also my Banco de Gaia Video!

  • I love how you have all the different scenes mixed up like that, very cool and in one of the scenes looks like you moved the camera just a bit too much to one side to show off that cool bike in the back ground : - )
