  • That's a good running Oliver, looks good too. What kind of mods have you done?

  • Nothing much has been done to it, just the Roosa Master pump upgrade, same as a late 880 and the 1600/early 1650s. The fuel is turned up obviously and the RPMS were around 2500 then. Backed it down now since it's retired from pulling. Those heads are terrible for flow, not much you can do to help them. Can get better results with the direct injection like in the 1655 we pull.

  • i got a oliver i use chevy big block piston in it but i wont pull 7500 pound class cause i dont wana break it lol

  • @ChemMan88 yea regular block just bored it out custom made head and pistons and alot of other things but mainly got the the engine built by a guy in indy but customized the head ourself. my grandpa did alot of work to it

  • @IP0LEN What all did you have done to the engine? Was it still a 77 block? I know that a lot of guys take the easy route and drop in a 7 main block.

  • we had a oliver 77 that had 220 hp that could really win in the division IV

  • Way kewl!!!

  • That's a great 88, I have a 66 but I've painted it. mine is more between a lime green and a regular green it so cool. And theirs alittle bit done to the motor.

  • Seems to run good for a pretty much stock tractor. I always liked Olivers, even though we were a Farmall family. There were several nice 88s that I pulled against with our old M. Of course, there aren't too many antique tractors I don't like though lol.
