Porque a RCTV saiu do ar

Não estou defendendo o Hugo Chavez, mas preciso botar os pingos nos I's. A RCTV não é simplesmente opositora do governo, mas ajudou logisticamente na tentativa de golpe contra o governo Chave.
A propósito, a RCTV não foi fechada mas perdeu a concessão porém continua funcionando e vendendo programas para outras emissoras. A RCTV pode voltar como TV A CABO como disse o ministro da comunicação venezuelana.
Im not defending Hugo Chavez but some facts must be explained. RCTV doesnt only opposes to Chavez but helped with the coup against his goverment.
By the way, the company was not closed, only lost the permition to broadcast on VHF/UHF but they still produce TV Shows for other channels. As the minister of comunication of venezuela told, they can still work on cable.

Aqui no Brasil as concessões não tem prazo de validade como na Venezuela e quem as dava era o próprio presidente da republica, até o governo Sarney... então para ter radio ou tv você tinha que ser ou ter amigo com o presidente.

rctv was not cosed, the contract to use the channel 2 is finnish, that is a big difference, the goverment just not renew the contract, is in the law, the oposition overreacting cause they use even to ask for Chavez killing, or to attack the little daugter of chavez, pls tell me if that is posible in your country? sorry for my english...

Indeed the situation is more complicated than it appears. But one thing is for sure, the decision of taking this channel off the air is not about the moment in this video.

At the time, all TV channels were involved. However, RCTV was the only channel that didn't tone down the opposition exposure after the (controversial) coup. Chavez threatened again and again during the last few years following the event that "if they keep at it" he wouldn't renew the concession.

Thanks for your information. Here in Brazil we had a problem like that, but the coup was actualy a fraudulent on a election planned by REDE GLOBO to avoid Leonel Brizola, a popular left against the dictatorship stablished by militarys and US Gov, to become governor of Rio de Janeiro.

It is despicable the way the global media has totally sided with the opposition on this issue. I can't think of a SINGLE nation that would permit it's most watched TV channel to participate in a military coup against an elected government. Never mind the pornography being pumped into the public airwaves!
