The Voice audition - Adele - Someone like you

Damien Wicks (me) 39 years old from Darwin, Northern Territory at about 4am in my loungeroom/studio on Tuesday 18th October trying to get a good take to send as my audition to the Australian version of The Voice.
I had my eyes closed for most of it but when I watched it back I noticed that I was being joined by a fly darting around my head which I'm not overly happy about but the concept of the show is that the judges don't see at 1st and only listen so I'm trying not to worry about it.
It is suppose to be under 2 minutes, I think I may have gone over by a few seconds, that I would have been able to fix if I knew how to edit video but I don't!
For anyone interested in how it was recorded I'm using my Maton EM325c acoustic guitar being recorded by a cheap chinese ribbon mic and my vocal recorded with an Audio Technica 4050 microphone both running into an M-Audio profire 2626 which is just being used as a mixer and then a line out of the headphone jack into the external mic input on the JVC everio camera.

I would really love to get a spot as a contestant on the show. I don't really have dreams of being famous as such but I would love to have something to show for all the years I've been singing covers in pubs and to have something to be remembered by as in the way of a hard copy of the performances on the show.
I don't see myself singing in pubs for too much longer, I may have a few good years still left in me but I would love to devote more time in the future to teaching and to help pass on a craft that has been my passion for the last 20 years as I've recently discovered that I do have quite a knack for teaching and making students feel very comfortable, creating a relaxed teaching environment for those eager to learn the most beautiful and natural instrument in the world - THE VOICE!

@jannikn Thanks, I do sing sex on fire, might do a video of it soon. I don't usually have that much rasp in my voice it has just been a bit worn lately as I get older!

@72wicksy Honestly im the kind of person that always does, but you definitely proved me wrong man. Ide like to hear some Blues or something Jazzy try Nature Boy man I think youde kill it!

@72wicksy well,with age your voice will just get better.Bruce Springsteen is 62 and he can belt it out better than most 20 yr olds in the business. I wouldn't say your voice is worn,it's seasoned and I likes it
