This was so heartbreaking to watch for me, I had to stop it mid way to collect myself and then watch the rest. No one deserves this type of treatment. Let people live their life the way they want to or the way they deem it appropriate. Homosexuality hasn't hurt anyone, Homophobia has, alot.

@brewerschick08 what you can do is get him to stand in front of a mirror with you there and let him see or help him see how beautiful he really is. It will be hard for him, but he needs to see the pain has been created by others and not him and that being gay is a beautiful thing and say to him that he is not to allow anyone to make him less than who he is. There is also the acknowledgement that he could be taking away another persons happiness in finding a perfect mate by ending his life

@brewerschick08 One of the hardest things for anyone who feels less than who they are, is trying to reach them. You sound like a wonderfully warm person and all you can do is let him know you'll be there at anytime he needs it. Is there anywhere he can go to talk to councillors that are running gay services. It does take a while to recover from those thoughts and if he can he can drop me a line. I don't know him but let him know I am a suicide survivor...more to follow

@ocossa Wow, I totaly agree with you. I am so sorry that you went through that hell and that you had to face the bigots and intolerant people who hate what they can't understand. I have friends who are gay and they have though of suicide and it scared the hell out of me... I had no idea what to do. I couldn' t tell them that I understood because I'm straight.... he is over it... but i still fear he has those thoughts.... do you have any idea of what I can tell him? I've told him he isn't sick

I agree with you that hate has to stop, and it is only in uniting as a community will it end so many young people are either afraid of back lash or bullying and it saddens me that so many have become complacent because it won't go away. @ocossa Hate crimes needs to stop i almost suicided when i was 17 because people were calling me bad names and bulling me IM PRAYING EVERY DAY I WISH HATE WOULD STOP.
