Man, we used to have abandoned factory buildings and water purification plants here in Helsinki too, but most of them have been torn down because of new developments. =(
The oncoming depression is great! No loans for developers = no destruction of all the cool places! :)

yea we have a small one abandon in our town my dad said that if we opend those all back up gas would go down but good luck with that becuas our stupid congress they wont even let us get oil in the coast and so look at it now india and china are taking it all
