  • I can't understand the pull off... whenever I do it I either get the note as if I'm string bending, no (or very little) sound produced on hitting the next fret or else when doing it on the 1st string, the string comes over the fretboard. What is it exactly I'm doing wrong, if you know? Thanks.

  • @sm05081735 It is a matter of finesse. You are grabbing the string to hard and pulling towards the floor. Try a softer touch and angle the pull up wards from the fretboard a bit more. You might have to experiment a bit with the angle.

  • When I try hammer on. it dosn't sound as loud as your do, what i'm doing wrong?

  • @Hansson333 The biggest problems most have is 1: how hard you hammer down and 2: accuracy. I spent a lot of time when I started out trying to get it right and discovered I really had to muscle it. Once my hand strength got better I was able to finesse it a bit more. The other thing that helped me was concentrating on how my fingers hit the string and were it landed on the fret. Take your time you will get it and thanks for watching.

  • i am practicing this on an acoustic guitar. The last hammer on notes on the G and B strings are coming out too faint. so i am not sure whether i am doin it correct. or do i need do connect it to an amp and then check whether its clear and audible?or is this exercise supposed to be done using an electric guitar?
