My all time favorite classical piece, specifically the first movement. Marthas' delicacy of dynamics is breath taking.

This piece from Rachmaninov is one of the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life !
-
Simply wonderful, my favourite. Worth checking also Argerich-Zilberstein & Vukalovic-Vlahek recordings.

For years, my favorite performance of this Suite was the Ferrante and Teicher performance, which is still unquestionably stellar. But this is an exquisite performance. It is as if there is only one pianist performing.

it is heavenly

Ordinarily I find Argerich too fast, but it works here played faster than usual. Argerich is wonderful as also in Rach's 3rd concerto and Ravel's Scarbo.

Bravissimo Maestro

I think this is a perfectly valid opinion to express. Instead of arbitrarily giving this a thumbs down, respond with an opinion of your own. I personally disagree, to me the tempo variations evokes the image of the spinning ballerina of a music box slowly coming to life.

maybe rach wasnt as popular before the 80s and 90s? is that right
