Occupy Iowa Caucus

This past Saturday marked the 3 month anniversary of the Occupy movement. One of the developments we've seen are actions that have become more focused towards a specific goal, event, or organization, and Occupy Iowa is following suit. Activists are planning to target the Iowa caucus on January 3rd, aiming to hit both the Republican and Democratic parties. They'll even try to get Occupy elects voted in as delegates to next year's Democratic and Republican national conventions. Gavin Aronsen with Mother Jones discusses.

The last time Republicans were in charge we had a trillion-$ war based on lies, the failed response to Katrina, tax cuts for fat cats that drove up the deficit but failed to produce jobs, the biggest terrorist attack in history, the GREAT RECESSION, and a House Majority Leader, Tom DeLay, who is now where he belongs, in prison.

Or the 30,000 troops deployed to Afghanistan, the 15,000 troops deployed to Israel, the introduction of quantitative easing, the NDAA that gives the president the authority to arrest and detain American citizens without charge or trial, and SOPA which we're fighting. The problem with you people is that if Bush would have done these same things there would be hell to pay. You root for the blue team, they root for the red.

Occupy is a failed movement. No real demands just marching in the cold for no good reason. Boycotts would have been more effective, and not involve going to jail.
