I've seen your earlier video before you lost weight and it's hard to believe it's the same person. You're an inspiration. Oh, and you have fabulous eyes too.

Just look at how much more worldly and how much you have grown as a person, that you may never would have accomplished if you didn't go through good or bad. For what I can tell it has made you a much more beautiful person inside and out and now your pursuing a passion "nursing" that your really passionate at. I have been watching you video blogs since June 08, 2 months before I had my gastric bypass and your metamorphisis is amazing, a real inspiration. A beautiful butterfly has emerged! ;)

Sometimes we go through things that we may never understand. I try to look at it as a learning process and a way of teaching myself what is important in life and to live with gratitude. It is only natural to have the urge for a do over. I get them from time to time, my only catch would be to not to delete the good things. But if we don;t make mistakes how are we ever to appreciate what we do have and to grow. (To be continued)

That's wisdom... Our experiences shape us and if we like who we are now, we can't linger in regrets! We can only appreciate now and make decisions that, we hope, are going to be for the best. Do the best we can with what we have...

that is crazy i just randomly stumbled across a video i guess before your surgery, and then this you look amazing completely different holy shit
Hi Amelia. I've been watching your videos for weeks and this one really touched me because I'm at the phase now where I'm feeling like I've ruined my body. I can't wait to be where you're at, but I'm curious, now that you've had complications and almost died, do you regret the gastric bypass now? In any case, you're such an inspiration and I keep making my husband come watch your videos because they are so funny- like the fashion show one. Anyway, I think you're awesome and appreciate you.

Just had that conversation last week with Joel. I STILL do not regret my decision. I believe that the complication happened so that I could teach others and maybe save someones life. If the right test had been done sooner I would have suffered very little. By telling people to get an upper GI I am hopefully saving them from the same fate. I would change nothing, I promise. I am so much better now and healthier and content

Hi Amelia...
I have a question...
Do you have not thought about getting tattoos in the scars?
I've thought about this option when I do my surgeries...

Joel my husband says that 2 tatoos is enough, after that I will be a tatooed lady LOL like at the carnival. Oh well.. tatoo would be cool but I think the scars will be very small and hard to see after a whiel
