The following footage displays two methods used by the U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) for installing insulation in a mobile home roof.

This is not a "how to" video. The measures taken in this footage should not be attempted without professional assistance.

  • what a idiot everyone knows once you walk on a metal mobile home roof you have ruined it by putting low spots were water will sit and sooner or later leak at the seams

  • chpboy -- why waste money putting on a new roof when the existing one is fine? In open cavity blows like this, getting full coverage is pretty simple.

mnc51 -- Anybody can spout another mindless dumb comment. Why don't you learn something about MHEA and the cost-effectiveness test used to plan this before you jack your jaw??

  • i like the 2' foam idea but this is pracitial...

  • What a waste of money... best way to insulate a Older roof is to use 2" thick 4x8 sheets of stryrofoam with 2x4 framing with new white refelective aluminum rolls..... the way u guys do it wont allow u to fill every cavity that will give you Complete coverage.
