Ok. I don't understand a 100% (ie. why the mixer would control the pitches) since I'm new at modular synthesis, but I hope to replicate it, or at least get inspiration from it one day.

@erlandmusic See page 8 of the Doepfer A-161 manual (available for download on Doepfer's site). It shows you how to do it.

What exactly are the A-160 and 161 sequencing?

@erlandmusic Run the outputs of the A-160 and/or 161 into a mixer. Send the mixer output to a VCO pitch input. In this situation the mixer knobs set the sequencer pitches.

just 1 recording question. did you record this straight from doepfer´s audio out or use some speaker(s) (mice´d up?).
any processing, reverb etc.
so basically, are we hearing dry signal or not ;)

Hi it's the modular and an Edirol R-09 HR field recorder only. I don't ever do any post processing. There is a pair of Doepfer A-199 spring reverbs in the modular though, and I use them in stereo on almost everything.
