This is the Google Nexus. It has nothing to do with the Iphone.They are both really great phones. Would you idiots prefur 1 phone to rule them all and that would be the only phone and you would pay $2000 for it. I'm an android lover, but if i were a software developer I wouldn't switch to android because when you make an app for android, you got to consider the numerous update patches and fixes that are out there for almost every single phone, it can be stressful, for the devs and the users. While at the iphone camp, you only have to make it work on one phone, since all of the iphones' hardwares are pretty much identical, only the outside case is different. sad but true...

@TheBarathbushan errrrrrrrr i think you're in a world of your own here. it's not that the os NEED a 1ghz processor to function, it's that it makes games and apps run faster...

that's like saying why do we need more than the minimum specs for windows 7? because the phone/pc does more than just run the OS ...

android ran perfectly fine on a g1, and that had what a 500mghz cpu? AND it still did 3d games on top of that,

even if i downclock my nexus to 200mghz it runs fine...

I own an iPhone 4 and I don't care what any Apple fanboy will say, Android has almost, and I think will easily pass the iPhone. Android had me at "flash support". Unless the iPhone 5 is spectacular, looks like android is coming my way :)

@NotAYTUser i too am aswell and i switched to android to see the difference and the biggest thing for me was that every android phone wasnt as stableas the iphone so basicaly you brick your phone your done and alot of crashes (g2x is my phone)

@DJBelsky u can overclock it actually look for something called speed enhancer get it and open winterboard u would find an overclock and underclock option :)

@NotAYTUser Android is a bloated OS like vista , it requires heavy hardware for it to function like it is made to .

A phone that uses 1ghz cpu is not great , it just indicates the inefficiency of the OS
