HEY EVERYONE!!! I have seen many videos of locticians using the interlock method to MAINTAIN locs. BUT there are only a very few videos where the locs are actually INSTALLED with the interlocking method. Therefore here is a video of an actual installation using this method. There were a few concerns I had such as the fact that the ends were processed so it left them straight as you may notice. But rest assured with time and maintenance, the ends will eventually become more rounded and will lock. I also want to make it clear that I know my left from right eventhough in the video I said that "9o'clock was to the right when in fact its to the left. (LOL). Backcombing is not an absolute necessity and should be used only after asking the opinion of the client. This is because it will definitely shrink the hair and some may want to enjoy as much length as long as possible. Do be mindful that backcombing WILL speed the locking process though. Nevertheless as a loctician, please make the needs and desires of your client your top priority. ENJOY!!! THANK YOU CHAZZY WAZZY!!!!
Prosperity and elevation to you!!!

  • @shaggylocs7 WOW!!! Shaggy. as you should already know, you are a youtube celebrity, therefore I am privileged, honored, and HUMBLED, that you would take the time to notice me, my work, and my page. Thank you so much. Your visit has inspired me, in a time when I JUST had a dream about my work and it was discouraging. You have confirmed that it was nothing but a trick of the enemy and to keep on keepin on. Thank you sooooooo much!!!

  • @shaggylocs7 Also, since I dont like to use rubberbands, what advice do you have to combat unraveling. If the hair is long enough, I tie a small knot on the ends, but when its not long enough, what can I do???, also, sometimes my clients ask me why my retightening appts take so long because before they came to me it would only take 2 hrs whereas I may take three. I always wonder if they got the roots as tight as I did? Loose roots means coming baq sooner. I want them to look good as lng as poss

  • i used this method for a few of my locs, one question tho how long beofre this method actually starts dreading like an estiment time?

  • @themeloche If the locs are thicker, then they will lock faster, the smaller, the longer they will take, As for an estimate of time, I have a client that I have had several months but his 2nd appt, his locs were already beginning to solidifu in the middle and taking on the dread look, and quickly lost the braided/interlock look. Another client I had, bi-racial, it took longer, and he ended up cutting them before his 2nd appt. So in summary, lol it can be as quick as three weeks, up to 3 months

  • thanks I've been looking for this!!!!!

  • @hellokittypinkyphat Im excited you learned a lil sumthin from a brutha, lol

  • Thank you soooo much for sharing! I wanted to start my own locs and this is a great help!!

  • I am so excited, I did it! When I first watched your video I just thought I'd leave that to you professionals. Im in the process of braidlocing my daughters hair so I tried it and i did it. But her head is already in braidloced. Which method do you prefer? (She has thick, coarse hair)

  • wow, i knew how to maintain, like you mention in the description box via interlocking, but didn't know how to start with the interlocking method. thanks for making the video!!

  • thanx very informative................

  • @SEXXXYTAURUS85 thanks :)

  • @SEXXXYTAURUS85 Hey SEXXXY T.... Question.. could I use this method to install my sisterlocks?? Would you advise using this interlocking method for small sisterlocks? I'm doing my own sisterlocks. I can't be paying somebody 5,6,7+ hundred dollars to lock my hair. Thanks in advance.
