Re: SVA trust me... its a major "let down". Don't waste your time or money. Nothing there you can't learn on your own.

@sideshowvideo well its not a total waste maybe you can learn 1 or 2 facts but the graduate program sucks its all about undergrad

-
@sideshowvideo so what do you think of jean mitcheal basquiat
who was world famous at age 23

I'm almost a year late in my reply to your comment. What did you decide?
I wouldn't enroll in SVA there but depends on what you are going for.
Its NOT like really going to college at all. Just get a real education. Your not going to make any good art till your at least 30 yrs old.

hey watch my-------SVA in class ART-----Video

Please remember, this does not represent the entire school, this was the Graduate program. If you want to really see great work, take a look at the undergraduate program. the Graduate program is about 22 students per graduate program. The undergraduate program and a much better variety of types of people and work. This was teh FINE ARTS program.

Thanks Ron,
This piece relates to my latest column "Gangs of New York" in the Jul/Aug edition of the "Brooklyn Rail". Young artists need to be intelligent and articulate when talking about their art. I've been in the situation, 30 seconds to impress a big-shot, a once in a lifetime chance. Don't blow it, JK
