  • what kind and size of drill bit were you using? Thanks

  • @judelachance I use a variety of drill bit sizes from under 1mm to about 5mm (coring drill bits) - which drill size you choose to use depends on what hole size you want your bead to have. Consider what you will be threading the bead on to and choose a drill bit size that matches the diameter of the threading material. My "go to" bit is about 1.5mm.

  • @judelachance as mentioned below and in the video these are diamond drill bits - I use coring, twist and burr style bits depending on the project and how big of a hole I am drilling. I purchase from riogrande and etsy.

  • Dremel 400 XPR is the model of the Dremel I use at the moment. It runs 5,000 - 35,000 RPM which is suitable for drilling glass. The drill press is a Dremel Model 220.

The Multi Pro will fit into a drill press if you choose to use one. The Stylus is designed as a handheld drill and I don't think it will fit in a drill press. Both have high rpm. I believe you can use a flex shaft with both for flexibility. Hope that helps and let me know if you have other questions - I'm happy to share.

  • great video, thank you,! what kind of lubrication do you use on the diamond bit?

  • @fritzer00 The lubricant is called Bur Life - from RioGrand.com some people use household wax or wax candles but I have only tried wax with my jewelers saw (which works great). Glad you found the video useful.
